After two years of writing down memories about the beginning of the Wiesbaden Phantoms, this is my first time writing a blog post in english. Michael Wiegand, the media director of the Phantoms, got contacted by a former player of the Wiesbaden Flyers, the US military football team which was playing on the field the Phantoms are calling today their home field. Bobby Brown was so kind to send us a picture of himself in the Flyers Jersey

As I do not have any knowledge about the Wiesbaden Flyers, simply because we never had the possibility to establish any contact to them back in the days, I find it very interesting to report about the ancestors of the Phantoms home field. Therefore I would like to give a shout to former Wiesbaden Flyers Players and Cheerleaders to send me your photos, your memories and your stories and I will be glad to publish it. Furthermore, if you have any memorabilia (Patches, Jerseys, Stickers, Helmets, etc.) you would like to provide to the Phantoms we gladly will put it on display at the former Lindsey Air Station gym.

I think this is a splendid possibility to keep the memories alive at the former home turf of the Flyers!
Stay tuned for more to come and don't forget to support the Wiesbaden Phantoms. But first of all, stay healthy!
PS: Fun fact - the name "Wiesbaden Flyers" is used by a softball team today.
